DANBURY HS ANNOUNCEMENTS May 8, 2017

This week is Teacher Appreciation Week! To honor our teachers the HS Student Council is holding a spirit week. Everyone should dress up to show their support for our teachers. Watch for signs in the hallways listing the theme for each day. The themes are as follows—Tuesday is your favorite sports team, Wednesday---is your favorite music group, Thursday is the college you graduated from and Friday is blue and white Spirit Day.

Attention freshmen and sophomores---if you plan to take the PSAT next Fall, your payment must be turned in by Thursday, May 25. A letter regarding this test was sent home last week.

Invitations to the Underclass Awards Program which will be held on Wednesday, May 17 have been sent out. Please RSVP in the HS office by next Friday, May 12! If you did not receive an invitation, but believe you should have been invited, stop in the HS office ASAP!

A representative from Wal-Mart will be in the cafeteria on May 9 during lunch to pass out information on job opportunities this summer.

Our Jostens representative will be here on Thursday, May 11 at 7:30 AM in the library to meet with Juniors to pick out graduation announcements for next year. He will also bring class rings for freshmen to pick up.

Attention high school students who are looking for community service hours--- If you are interested in landscaping or yard work, please stop in the HS office to pick up more information on helping at the Marblehead Lighthouse this summer.

Free Sports Physicals are available for any student planning on participating in athletics during the 2017-18 school year. They will be held Thursday, June 1 at Dr. Jackson's office. Times are as follows- MS Girls @ 5:00, HS Girls @ 5:15, MS Boys @ 5:45 and HS Boys at 6:00 pm. Physicals are free, but athletes need to bring a completed OHSAA Physical Form with them to the doctor’s office. These forms are available in the MS or HS office.

The Key Club is collecting pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House again this year. The Ronald McDonald House offers families a place to stay while their children receive specialized medical care. You may bring your tabs to the HS office, the library, or Mrs. Scott’s room.

SENIORS are reminded to check out the Guidance Bulletin Board located by the Art room and Library! This is where scholarship information will be posted! ACT registration information is posted there, too! Keep checking throughout the year as new items will be posted regularly.

Summer job postings are in the hallway across from the HS office.
