Buehler as Next Superintendent
Buehler described as energetic and
passionate with a wealth of experience
The Danbury Local Schools Board of Education unanimously selected Cari Buehler to serve as the district's next superintendent. She will begin her term with the start of the 2018-19 school year.
“Cari exhibits a fantastic energy that is inspiring to all,”
noted Reba Bishoff, board president.
“She has the great ability to passionately engage with staff, students
and community members while also bringing a wealth of teaching and
administrative experience at the elementary, middle and high school levels.”
Buehler was selected after an extensive and thorough search
process that included staff, parent and community input. “Danbury Local Schools is often described as
a family,” explained Wendy Conrad, board member-elect. “On behalf of the entire board, we are deeply
grateful to all of the participants who took the time to share their thoughts
and feelings with us about this important decision. We are all better because of your contribution.”
Buehler has been with the Genoa Local School district for
the past 14 years at various positions including serving as a teacher,
assistant principal, districtwide testing coordinator and she currently serves
as the High School Principal. She has a
Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Masters of Education
degree, both from Bowling Green State University.
Current Superintendent Dan Parent will continue to serve
until the end of the 2017-18 school year.
“Dan has been a tremendous leader these past 10 years and we are
eternally grateful for his contributions and many accomplishments on behalf of
students, staff and our entire Danbury Schools community,” said John Kosa,
board member.
The board will host a reception to welcome Buehler to the
district on Wednesday, December 13 beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the high school
cafeteria. All members of the community
as well as students and staff are invited to attend.
