Hello Lakers! Hopefully this message finds you healthy and settled into our school routine. Thank you again for your flexibility and patience as we navigate these unforeseen times together.
As I’ve shared previously, the need to pivot and adjust as we travel through these challenges will be a necessity. With that said, in order to continue to offer our 3 options for learning, we need to set aside time for all employees to receive continual professional development, time to collaborate, plan, and prepare. In order to achieve this needed outcome with as little change as possible for our families we have made some minor tweaks to our district calendar:
Moving forward each previously scheduled 2 hour delay has been moved to a full professional development and work day for our staff. Meaning students will not report to school on these days.
In addition, we added an additional professional development day for our staff on Tuesday November 24th, therefore students will begin their Thanksgiving break and not report on the 24th.
