Dear Parents and Guardians of Upcoming Seventh Graders (26/27 school year),
Itโ€™s almost summer break and vaccinations are probably the last thing on your mind, but as the school nurse I need to communicate vaccine requirements for school. Incoming 7th graders need to have a dose of Tdap and a meningococcal vaccine prior to entry, as required by Ohio state law.ย Documentation of this vaccination or a written exemption is needed please.ย ย

Vaccines are also available at FREE PHYSICAL night May 20th or make your appointments over the summer to avoid the rush in September.ย These vaccinations can be obtained at the Ottawa County Health Department 419-734-6800, at some primary care providers, and some pharmacies can give this vaccine too.ย I appreciate your effort in providing these documents to the middle school office or school nurse. Please contact me if you have questions.

Thank you,
Mrs. Allison Holzaepfel MSN, RN

Around the District

Laker Families โš“๐Ÿ’™โ˜€๏ธ

As we enter the final week of another outstanding school year, I want to take a moment to thank our students, staff, families, and community for the incredible support, partnership, and pride that make our district such a special place.

From our youngest PreK learners to the Class of 2026, this year has been filled with growth, achievement, and unforgettable memories. Our students have excelled in the classroom, on the stage, in the arts, through music and performances, in athletics and competitions, and in service and leadership throughout our schools and community. We have celebrated academic accomplishments, record-breaking performances, creative talents, meaningful milestones, and countless everyday moments that remind us what it means to be a Laker.

Most importantly, we have watched our students continue to grow into kind, resilient, hardworking young people who support one another and make us proud every single day.

Thank you to our families for trusting us with your children and for your continued encouragement and involvement throughout the year. Thank you to our community for always showing up to cheer on our students and support our schools. And thank you to our dedicated staff members whose passion, care, and commitment help create opportunities for students to learn, grow, and succeed.

As summer begins, I hope your family finds time to relax, recharge, and make lasting memories together. Enjoy every moment of this well-deserved break, celebrate all that was accomplished this year, and know that we are already excited for what lies ahead for our Lakers.

Thank you for being part of our Laker family. Have a safe, happy, and memorable summer โ€” and as always, Go Lakers!

Ms. Cari Buehler
Superintendent
